Project Manager (Project Layout) - Tanzania POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Job responsibilities

• Assist Lead Project Manager in development and monitoring of the project plan for rollout
• Monitor the progress of XXX project on a day to day basis
• Coordinate with various business owners for effective and timely rollout of XXX as per agreed project plan
• Flag concerns and red flags on project delays
• Convene weekly meetings, summarise discussions and follow up on action points of weekly meetings
• Providing weekly/ monthly status reports to the management team/stakeholders
• Any other project related work assigned by the Lead Project Manager related to miscellaneous activities that arises from time to time

Qualifications

• Bachelors/ Masters degree in computer science/ IT Management
• Good track record of 5 years or more experience in project management, planning and implementation previous experience working as a project manager in Tanzania or in East Africa will be an advantage.
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Project and MS Excel for planning and tracking purposes.
• Desirable PMP or PgMP certification.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Fluency in English (reading, writing and speaking proficiency).
• Excellent analytic and problem solving skills.
• Organization and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Proficiency in analyzing and solving problems related to project
• Risk management experience in project management
• Identifies solutions to non-standard problems
• Solves moderately complex problems and/or conducts moderately complex analyses.
• Uses pertinent data and facts to identify and solve a range of problems within area of expertise..
• Must have handled at least 3 projects as project manager
